On Thursday evening, August 22, 2019, Jim Burt, Kaufman County Advanced Master Gardener – Rainwater Harvesting, presented a hands-on session on building a rain barrel. Participants saw and helped with the construction of a rain barrel made from a plastic, food-grade storage barrel. Rain barrels that had been pre-ordered were available for pick-up after the program.
