On November 3, the day before Texas Arbor Day, Master Gardener Pam Corder was at the Riter C. Hulsey Public Library in Terrell to share her knowledge about Texas Arbor Day and tree care. Corder presented two programs, one for adults and another for children. Both groups learned about Texas Arbor Day and why it’s different from the national Arbor Day, which is on the last Friday in April. (It’s all about our climate.) Adults heard about care and maintenace of trees and signs that indicate trouble. Children learned some tree biology and made rubbings from a variety of tree cross sections.
