The Greenhouse Specialist Training was provided by the Tarrant County Texas AgriLIFE Extension Service and was held in Ft Worth October 28-30, 2009. The three day program included classroom training as well as hands on work bending pipes for a hoop style greenhouse and a tour of the Ft Worth Arboretum Greenhouse. Master Gardeners will use the training to erect and maintain a greenhouse at the South Campus Garden Learning Center [SW corner of intersection of HWY 148 and 1388 in Kaufman]. Master Gardeners will also be available to provide programs on greenhouse construction and management for area groups and clubs and to answer individual inquiries.
