Several Kaufman County Master Gardeners attended the Texas Master Gardener Association State Convention held this year in College Station on April 4th through 6th. This year’s conference celebrated the 40th anniversary of the Texas Master Gardener Program.  The conference also highlighted the Texas Master Gardener Earth-Kind® Gardens within The Gardens at Texas A&M University. These are the gardens towards which Texas Master Gardeners raised over $146,000 for the naming rights.

Master Gardeners attending the conference could choose among many garden-related presentation and go on one of several tours of area points of interest. There was a silent auction and many vendors of garden-related products showed off their wares. The conference ran from April 4 through 6, 2018.
