Kaufman County Master Gardeners Win Awards at Texas Master Gardener Association Meeting

At the Awards Banquet culminating the 2010 Texas Master Gardener Association State Meeting, the Kaufman County Master Gardener Association was presented with six awards in the Small Association (organizations with 50 or fewer members) Division.

Master Gardener Brad Ackerman received the First Place Award for Individual Achievement for his many contributions to the Kaufman County Association’s projects and educational programs.

The 2009 Horticultural Calendar won First Place in the Printed Media category.

Other awards included:

  • Project: Garden Learning Center, 2nd place
  • Newsletter: Prairie Planter, 3rd place
  • Graphic Presentation: Native and Adapted Ornamental Grasses in the Landscape, 3rd place
