Better Gardening through Science

Kaufman County Master Gardeners helped clients at The Center in Kaufman learn to plant seeds to grow a vegetable.

Each took home a pot planted with lettuce, cilantro, jalapeno, tomato, or squash to try growing a favorite vegetable on their own.

Some were already gardeners and others had never planted a seed. The goal is to show people how fun and thrifty growing some of their own food can be.

Master Gardeners participating were Billie Henderson, Rebecca Morrow, Chet McDonald, and Karel Holloway. Thanks to Center director Richard Dunn for hosting us.
