Master Gardeners Present 2015 Spring Seminar on Aquaponics, Attend Kemp Wildflower Festival

Thank you to the more than 100 people who participated in two Master Gardener events on April 11, 2015.
Fifty people attended the Aquaponics Seminar at Grace Fellowship Church where Peter Woods of Texas A&M AgriLife Extension spoke about the increasingly popular method of growing plants and fish together. Aquaponics allows the production of chemical-free food and fish with much less water and space than conventional production methods.
More than fifty people came by the Master Gardener booth at the Kemp Wildflower Festival, where they received packets of wildflower seed and information on vegetable gardening, growing tomatoes and other topics. They also got answers to specific questions from Margaret Ann Trail and Judy Barton, Master Gardeners at the booth.
