On Wednesday, January 11, 2023, seven Kaufman County residents took their first step to becoming Master Gardeners. They started our training program, during which they will learn botany, plant pathology, integrated pest management, soil and water management, and how to grow fruits, nuts, vegetables, and many other plants. After the 10-week course, interns will have a year to complete 50 hours of volunteer service, after which they will become Master Gardeners. Our interns are Janet Crow, Ginger Davis, Kim Eagar, Linda Henderson, Carolyn Hunt, Dana Hunt, and Sharon Evans Scott.
